Today is May 2nd.
For most people, it’s just another Saturday. But for me, it’s one of the most significant dates on the calendar. Today is my brother’s birthday.
He’s gone now. And some years, this day has been heavy in ways that are hard to put into words. But this year, I wanted to do something with it. I wanted to turn the weight into worship.
So today, on what would have been his 43rd birthday, I’m releasing “Still With Me.”
This song is personal. It’s honest. The kind of faith and grief that doesn’t pretend the loss didn’t happen, but holds on to the memories and anticipation of reunion one day.
Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I wrote this song from that place. I hope it finds you if you are in a similar place now or have been too, wherever you’re carrying something.
